What do employers receive by being a member of MBGH?

 
 

Business Member: A public, private, non-profit or government organization that is represented by individuals responsible for health benefits, clinical or health improvement activities for a covered population. Benefits include:

  • Free registration for educational programs and webinars, and discounts on annual events and MBGH Partner conferences
  • Employer-only roundtables on health benefits management topics
  • Library of educational programs, speaker presentations and employer benchmarking surveys
  • Member Directory for HR Benefits Professionals
  • On-line discussion groups for members and employers only
  • Networking with national and regional public/private health care purchasers
  • Joining with employers to improve the cost, quality and safety of the local health care marketplace
  • Exposure to national industry experts, researchers and thought-leaders in health benefits, health care and health policy
  • Participate in and/or request a health benefits benchmarking survey
  • Participate in applied research projects and the testing of new benefit tools and strategies
  • Staff support on health benefit strategies, worksite wellness programs and employee communications

Associate Member: An organization that provides direct health or medical products, services or consulting to businesses that offer health benefits. Associate Members gain an appreciation of the health purchaser perspective on the design, selection, management and evaluation of health benefits, while gaining visibility among leading employer purchasers. Benefits include:

  • Free registration for educational programs and webinars, and significant discounts on annual events and MBGH Partner conferences
  • Library of educational programs, speaker presentations and employer benchmarking surveys
  • On-line discussion groups for members
  • Networking opportunities with national and regional public/private health care purchasers 
  • Exposure to national industry experts, researchers and thought-leaders in health benefits, health care and health policy
  • Ability to provide content expert speakers, as requested, at MBGH educational events
  • Preferred status to sponsor/exhibit at educational programs and conferences 
  • Opportunities to sponsor employer benchmarking surveys, research projects and testing of new benefits, tools and strategies
Membership Activities: MBGH provides powerful connections and vital health benefits solutions to employers through four primary activities:  

Each activity provides members with actionable knowledge and peer-to-peer networking opportunities to more than 100 large, self-insured public and private employers headquartered in the Midwest and Chicagoland area. Many programs provide a national reach to health care professionals across the country.
