Mental Health First Aid at Work initiates the conversation, allowing participants to challenge the myths and misperceptions of mental illness in the workplace, skillfully approach an individual experiencing mental illness, and connect that individual to available resources.
Mental Health First Aid at Work offers participants the opportunity to practice components of the ALGEE Action Plan: Approach, acknowledge risk, assist and ask the question (when applicable);Listening non-judgmentally; Give reassurance; Encourage self-help and Enlistment of available resources.
