Event Description

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Training from National Council for Mental Wellbeing will equip you to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among adults. In addition, you will learn how to interact with a person in crisis and how to connect a person with help. The training consists of 6 hours of instructor-led learning segments and interactive exercises. You must be present for the entire 6-hour training session to receive the completion certificate. Two hours of pre-training work prior to the session is required; you must complete the pre-work in order to attend the training. This is an interactive training. Camera must be on the duration of the program. (Open to employer members)

Attend this session to:

  • Identify common signs and symptom of mental health challenges and substance use challenges
  • Understand how to support a person with a possible mental health challenge
  • Understand how to interact with a person in crisis
  • Gain practice skills to have conversations around mental health concerns and to provide support those around you

The same training is available virtually on May 29 and in-person on June 24; please register for one session. Registration for virtual training will close May 14, and registration for in-person will close June 9. Space is limited to 30 registrants; maximum of 2 per company.
