Event Description
COVID-19 has had a significant impact on the mental health of today’s workforce. Recent analysis by the Integrated Benefits Institute finds that two in five employed adults reported symptoms of anxiety or depression disorder, a four-fold increase from pre-pandemic levels. When stress persists for a long period of time, such as during this pandemic, extreme anxiety, sorrow or pain becomes distress.
For employees, these challenges can disrupt mental, physical and financial health. For employers, access to care, skipped or delayed care and disparities in the delivery of quality care all have an impact on absenteeism and presenteeism and significantly impact the bottom line. This program will examine these key issues, their long-term effects on mental and physical health and how employers can minimize the prevalence of anxiety and depression disorder in their workforce.
