MBGH’s educational programs address timely topics including health benefits, health care reform, health improvement and wellbeing. An overview of our 2025 educational programs and annual conference is provided below. If you're interested in securing a sponsorship, be sure to act fast as they are first come, first served. For those who are not members or past conference sponsors, sponsorships will open to the public on October 1.

* Forum Sponsorships -  The Forum sponsorship panel will consist of a 10-minute employer presentation (includes slides) or a fire-side chat with questions equaling 10-minutes (does not include slides). For the presentation, provide an employer client (health benefits professional) to participate in person on a speakers’ panel. This employer will share a brief, non-branded case study presentation to include the business case for a solution offering, program strategy, outcomes and key-takeaways. MBGH requires the forum sponsor to confirm their employer client at least 6 weeks prior to the scheduled event (Annual Conference timeline is 13 weeks prior). The employer speaker does not need to be a MBGH member nor located in the Midwest.

January 29, 2025 – Annual Employer-Only Wellbeing Forum – Power Up! Turning the Wellness Paradigm Upside-Down

Our employer-only annual wellbeing forum is one of our most popular programs with attendance of over 100 attendees (employers and sponsor staff only). This year’s event will focus on revitalizing an employer's approach to worksite wellness. Attendees will discover how to build a wellness program that aligns with genuine purpose and creates real impact; foster a well-being culture to be cost-effective and transformative; and design programs that deliver tangible benefits, enhancing employee engagement. In 2024, there were a total of 90 attendees and 51% were employers. 


March 26, 2025 – Bold Moves to Address Mental Health: Connection, Culture and Inclusion

This session will explore innovative ways to address mental health challenges, break down stigmas and create a resilient work environment. Attendees will learn about effective strategies for understanding and addressing the mental health concerns of their employees; how to destigmatize mental health issues and foster resilience among employees; new approaches to tackling core mental health issues and fostering a supportive work culture; and ways to maintain strong connections and support mental health in remote or separated work environments. In 2024, MBGH held this forum in February and there were a total of 100 attendees and 30% were employers. 


May 6-7, 2025 – MBGH 45th Annual Conference – Illusion vs Reality: Achieving Truth, Trust & Transparency in Health Care & Benefits

Our annual two-day event in downtown Chicago is our most popular and most well-attended event! There are a total of 28 sponsorships that range from $5,000 to $33,000. In 2024, there were 420 attendees (of the 206 organizations, 41% were employers).


June 25, 2025 – Employer Forum on Pharmacy Benefits, Specialty & Biopharma Therapies

Each year this annual forum offers the latest research, information and case studies from leading employers and industry experts to identify solutions for managing biologics, specialty drugs, biosimilars and gene therapies. Key topics include strategies needed to ensure accountability and transparency with pharmacy benefit vendors, legislative updates, measuring patient outcomes and more! In 2024, a total of 106 people attended this hybrid event and 23% were employers. 


September 24, 2025 – Chronic Disease Management (title coming soon)

Each year, the focus of this event changes based on membership needs gathered through our annual survey. Past topics have included obesity, digital therapy, point solutions and effective benefit communications. In 2024, the event topic was obesity and 120 people registered.
