New Officers Elected to Midwest Business Group on Health Board of Directors

The Midwest Business Group on Health (MBGH), one of the nation's leading business groups of private and public employers, selected the officers for its Board of Directors.

“As employers navigate the impact of the economy and health reform on their health benefits and covered populations, MBGH’s new leadership team will continue to focus on the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead,” said Larry Boress, MBGH president and CEO. “We appreciate the participation and support of our members and board of directors.”

The elected officers to MBGH’s board:

  • Chair – Matt LaRocco, vice president, Administrative Services, Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago
  • Vice Chair – Kim Dwyer, vice president of Benefits, Advocate Health Care
  • Secretary – Judith Hearn, Health & Welfare manager, Reynolds Leveraged Services
  • Treasurer – Rich Rons, manager, Employee Benefits, Argonne National Laboratory

Also newly elected to the MBGH board: Linda Bloomer, Health/Welfare benefits manager, BMO Harris Bank N.A.; Bart F. Carlson, senior director, Benefit Strategy and Analysis, ConAgra Foods; and Kathleen Neal, director,  Integrated Health Care & Disability, Chrysler Group LLC.  

“We look forward to supporting the efforts of MBGH and will take advantage of our collective knowledge to stay at the forefront of emerging trends that impact the employer community,” said Matt LaRocco. “MBGH offers a number of opportunities for employers to get together and learn from one another on topics that are important to their business.”
