Event Description

The Burden of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD): How Crohn’s Disease & Ulcerative Colitis Impact Workforce Health, Productivity and Total Cost of Care

For most employers, IBD may not be a top prevalence condition, but it can be a high-burden condition that leads to high-cost claims if not appropriately managed. It can have significant implications for employers related to cost and productivity, but it is clinically manageable when benefits are aligned with evidence-based care. This webinar will outline the IBD landscape, explaining the barriers to timely diagnosis and appropriate treatment, along with evidence-informed strategies to improve outcomes. Additionally, employer insights and experiences will be shared to highlight the key challenges and solutions for optimizing care delivery and benefit design.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the current inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) landscape and the key barriers to timely diagnosis, evidence-informed treatment, and sustained disease control
  • Learn the role employers hold in improving IBD outcomes through benefit design, vendor accountability, and strategies that promote timely access to appropriate therapies
  • Understand how evidence-informed approaches enhance workforce health and reduce total cost of care for employers and for employees living with IBD

This program is only available virtually.
