Fiduciary Check-Up: How to Effectively Monitor Vendor Partners

In this roundtable session, we will explore ways that self-funded employer plan sponsors can effectively monitor vendor partners, such as PBMs, TPAs and consultants. As with most services, the relationship starts with the contract. We will discuss contractual areas of weakness, including limited audit rights and access to data, and how to overcome those potential obstacles. The session will also delve into the RFP process and market checks, and how to deal with a vendor partner that is secretly compensating itself or otherwise breaching its obligations and responsibilities.
