Event Description

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Training from National Council for Mental Wellbeing will equip you to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among adults. In addition, you will learn how to interact with a person in crisis and how to connect a person with help. The training consists of 6 hours of instructor-led learning segments and interactive exercises. You must be present for the entire 6-hour training session to receive the completion certificate. Two hours of pre-training work prior to the session is required; you must complete the pre-work in order to attend the training. (Open to employer members)

Attend this session to:

  • Identify common signs and symptom of mental health challenges and substance use challenges
  • Understand how to support a person with a possible mental health challenge
  • Understand how to interact with a person in crisis
  • Gain practice skills to have conversations around mental health concerns and to provide support those around you

Registration for this in-person training will close August 22. Space is limited to 30 registrants; maximum of 2 per company.
